How Does ProjectFile Work?
ProjectFile is an easy-to-use database that neatly stores and organizes all your project files, giving all team members constant access to needed information online.

1. Create A Project
When you create a project, ProjectFile automatically sets up a default folder to store the files. Project Administrators have complete control over how to structure the folder system to meet their needs. Setting up multiple projects can be as easy as cutting and pasting an existing folder/permissions structure. ProjectFile also generates a unique email account for the project and allows you to set up a method of storing all documents faxed to a particular number.

2. Set Permissions And Invite Project Team Members
Invite team members to the project by first assigning each of them access privileges and adding their names and email to the Project Member page. Each member can have a different level of access. For example, one member may have full access, while another may only be able to view, but not markup, upload or download files. ProjectFile automatically sends a notification email to team members, inviting them to the project.

3. Add, Update Or Download Files
As the project progresses, your online project is continuously updated by team members, so it stays current. Uploaded document and drawing files, project emails and faxes and markup/changes and comments are all filed, recorded, and distributed appropriately. ProjectFile will signal all project team members, or just selected members, via email to visit the site to review changes. New, versioned or updated files display special icons for quick identification, and a file use history/audit trail is maintained for each file. Update notification messages can be routed to wireless devices to speed response.

4. Review And Markup Files
When users login, they immediately see all projects of which they are members. Selecting the desired project allows them to view the project's directory and file list, which includes thumbnail representations of each file and informative icons, such as the markup indicator. When files are viewed through ProjectFile, team members with sufficient permissions can create markups and make notations regarding changes and other input. Markups and notes can be attached to any document in ProjectFile and maintained with the file history.

5. Access Project History
Project Administrators can review the ProjectFile history logs for given projects. Time stamps, file lists, status changes and durations are all noted, with hyperlinks to specific documents provided. .
